Hello Ballet Beauties! There are many ways that you can workout with Ballet Beautiful, and with the launch of BB group classes, we have added yet another way! We wanted to share how you could best combine these options and some BB lifestyle tips to help you maximize your workouts and keep them exciting and challenging. No matter where you live or how you use Ballet Beautiful, you will find some helpful tips that you can apply to help you reach your goals!
If you live in NYC…
Our group classes are wonderful full body, sculpting workouts. In one hour you will get that Ballet Beautiful burn and finish up with some cardio. We recommend taking these classes at least three times a week, and pairing them with focused blasts available in our streaming videos or Custom Workout Streaming Library on the other days. This will ensure that you really hone in on the areas you want to tone and sculpt. Another great option is pairing group classes with private training, where a BB trainer can work personally with you to focus on your problem areas, correct your form and help you reach your goals.
If you use the Custom Workout…
Our Custom Workout creates a workout schedule that is tailored to your particular goals. It is a great way to have Ballet Beautiful customized for you. We recommend following the schedule that the CW provides, and supplementing it with extra cardio and targeted videos for the body areas you want to give special attention to. Ideally do at least 3 days of the CW suggested workouts, and pair it with your favorite sculpting videos from the streaming library and one cardio video. This will ensure that you get some great full body workouts mixed with your choice sculpting and cardio videos.
If you use BB DVDs & Streaming Videos…
We have a large selection of workout DVDs and streaming videos that you can also create a great workout around. We recommend doing the Classic BB DVD or the Backstage Workout to get an effective full body workout three times a week, and pairing it with BB blasts and cardio videos for extra focus on areas you want to tone and to get that heart rate up! Some of Mary Helen’s favorite cardio workouts are: Swan Arms Cardio, Skyline Workout and Sugarplum Workout.
If you are having a busy week…
We know that life can get hectic, so we are very happy that Ballet Beautiful has some workout videos that you can do anywhere when you are short on time. The BB Blasts are great for this – you can do one or two depending on how much time you have. Fit them in whenever you have a break or wake up about 20 minutes earlier and you can fit one in before your day gets started. Another great way to fit in some extra activity is to take the stairs whenever you can, get off a stop early at your bus/subway stop, park farther away in the parking lot, or fit in a nice walk at the end of the day instead of watching another episode of a TV show. Every little bit helps and see it as a way that you are doing something special for yourself and releasing tension.
If you want to cross train…
Mary Helen loves complementing Ballet Beautiful with swimming and with the warm weather finally here it is the perfect time to get your swimsuit out! It is a great way to incorporate extra cardio without impact, and depending on the stroke it can also elongate muscles. Mary Helen’s favorite strokes are the crawl and the breaststroke. Going on a nice, brisk walk outside is another way to get some cardio in and enjoy fresh air.
