Dance into the joyful and energetic history of Flower Festival in Genzano, a ballet choreographed by August Bournonville in 1858 for Denmark's Royal Ballet. The ballet was danced by Denmark's Royal Ballet until 1929 and from there much of the history is lost including knowledge of the original cast members.
The one-act ballet showcases the love story of Pablo and Rosa with playful choreography of pas de deux's and dramatic arabesque's, inspired by the Dane's admiration of Italy and the Annual June Infiorata of Genzano (Rome).
